Future Geologist

The other day, Madelyn took a "Geology" class at the AZ Museum of Natural History! It was all about rocks - which she has always loved!! She has a rock collection, and is always looking for cool & interesting rocks!! (In one of her classes, 2nd grade I believe, she even went on a field trip to a rock museum!!) In this Geology class, they listened to a few speakers talking about different rocks, the layers of the earth, rocks that "glow" with a black light, and different household items that are made from rocks (i.e. makeup & toothpaste!!)!! When they were done, they got to pick 12 rocks for their own collection! She came home & taught the boys all about the rocks she got - it was pretty cute!! :)
