Cottage & Santa

Last night was Madelyn's turn for Cottage Fair. Her cottage was all about Bugs!! Grama, Gage & Chloe came with us!! The kids got to make a bug out of marshmallows, jellybeans, Dots, frosting, mini jawbreakers & toothpicks - yum! After that, we looked at all the fun projects that the class has worked on over the past few months. Lastly, the kids performed their "Bug Ballads", while wearing their spider hats!! :) It was cute!!

After the Cottage Fair, we went to eat dinner & decided to let the kids pick - - NOT SMART! So, the kids pick McDonald's- (which usually would be fine, but we are in QC!!)! We sit down & notice that SANTA is there!! Cool, right?? ......Well, I run back to the car to get my camera & they ask us if we want pictures! So, the kids all get their pictures & we're ready to go sit down & the lady says, "have you paid for your pictures yet??" I instantly got sick - - we just had 5 kids take pictures (at McDonald's non the less), please don't tell me they are like $10 each!!!!! The lady says it will only be $2 for everyone....... phew!! However, being a little irritated with the situation (imagine that), I say, "well, there should have been a sign or something!!" She tells me there is, up by the registers!! Sure enough, there are & the money is for charity!! That's fine & all, but why did she (the nasty street-walker "elf") let us take the pictures FIRST & then ask for the $!!!!!?????? Whatever!!! :) Moral of the story: don't get a picture with Santa @ McDonald's in QC, with an "elf" wearing high-heeled boots & a tight sweater dress showing back fat & panty lines!! ..........and with a tiny Santa that the kids believe to be a girl!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA, what a night!! :)
