The Zoo!

Well, we started our Spring Break off by surprising the kids with a trip to the Zoo!!  We haven't been to the zoo since Hunter was about 18 months or so, so we were due for a visit!  ;)  (And, being that it was Olivia's bday yesterday, we kinda went for her!!;)  It's changed since we went last, but basically the same!  We picked a great day - it was a little warm, but breezy - not too hot - not too crowded & we saw (almost) EVERY animal that was there!!!  The lions were laying down & kinda hard to see, the elephant (of course, the animal that Olivia kept asking about!!), was standing in the corner, not really moving :(, and the orangutans were in a corner, being fed by a trainer. :(  Other than that, we can't complain!!  ;) The 2 bears were right out in the open, eating apples - the tiger was laying on a rock, looking around - and the leopard was pacing in front of the cage, then stopped and stared at all the kids - almost as if he wanted to pounce on them!!! ;)  Most of the animals were easy to see - which is how it should be!!  ;)

 Shayne & his kettle corn!!  (I'm sure that's why he wanted to go!!;)  He was going to buy some as soon as we walked in, but I managed to hold him off until we finished the "Arizona Trail" - ya know, the first exhibit!! ;)

 A monkey looking at a monkey!! ;)  (You'll notice Hunter's not in a bunch of pictures - he didn't feel that great & didn't want to pose too many times! :(  Luckily, he agreed to a few pictures!! ;)

 So many turtles!!! :)  At least these were all together!!  Every time we saw an animal all alone, Olivia would say, "I feel bad for him because he's by himself!!" ;)

 We luckily ran into some friends from church & had them take a family picture for us!  I just hate to ask a stranger to do it!!  (Even if my camera's not that fancy!! ;)  It was crazy because we saw three other families from our ward!!!

 We told Noah that this was his baby picture, so we made him take a picture with it!!  ;)

 I made Madelyn take a picture by the flamingos - when she was little, we came to the zoo & noticed that they smell - later she went into the bathroom there & said, "Oh - it smells like flamingos in here!!!  ;)
