Happy 4th!!

We had fun plans for the 4th this year. . . however, we didn't keep them!!  :(  (Sorry Nelsons!!  :(  It ended up being a crazy day for all of us!!  :(  Madelyn had just come home from her FUN trip (more on that later) & we were busy doing stuff around the house; Tasha had a sick kid; and my poor mom had her washer go out & spent most of the day at the Laundromat (with her laptop - doing work while she washed! ;) & then the appliance store!!!  :(


Being that we had already told our kids about the earlier plans, (which I broke my own rule by doing that!!), they were all excited to go swimming - - so, Shayne & I took them for a quick swim!  We went over to my mom's pool, but ended up not staying very long!!  It was PACKED & the water felt like a warm bath. . .YUCK!!  :(  We went back to my mom's & Shayne helped John install the fancy new washer & ended up staying for dinner.  After dinner, we had time for a few sparklers & fire works, then headed home! 

 Olivia's only picture - - and it's her back!! :(  She had a sparkler - - (YES - I know!!  What kind of DUMB mom would give a 2-yr-old a sparkler???!! - - Well, that would be me!! : /  Well, she did great with it, until right before it burnt out!!  Then. . . she touched it!!  She burnt her thumb & finger!! :( So, needless to say, she wasn't too happy & wasn't wanting to be in any other pictures!! :(  

Cruz & his snapping!! :)  He is always snapping. . . and quite good at it!! ;)
