Birthday Party - Times 3!!

Well, Madelyn lucked out this year & got to have 3 parties!! (Well, got to celebrate 3 times anyway!!) :) On her "actual" birthday, Shayne was working, so we let her open her presents the night before, so Daddy could be there too. She was over-joyed to get her MP3 player, boots & Heelys!! The next morning, ON her birthday, Grama surprised her & stopped by with donuts & presents!! (Unfortunately, Grama & Papa had to travel to Florida, that afternoon, to attend the unexpected funeral for Papa's sister, Jeanie. She passed away the week before, while scuba diving. Jeanie was a great person & will truly be missed!)

Madelyn's been wanting an iPod forever, but we found this cool MP3 player that even plays videos!! (Shayne & I were kinda jealous after we saw how cool it was - Shayne even thought about trading her for HIS iPod!!) :)


Yes, a little behind the times - just getting Heelys now, but she was thrilled!! :)


For Madelyn's birthday party, she had her cousins & a friend over for a "Gingerbread" party! We had tons of fun gingerbread projects, hot chocolate, pizza & treats!! We made gingerbread houses, cookies, mini-notebooks, picture holders, jewelery & a few other things!! (We were a little obsessed with gingerbread men in preparation for this party!!!) :) Madelyn had a great birthday & got everything (and more) that she wanted!! Thanks to all her cousins & friends for helping us celebrate, and to Tasha & Grama for all their help before, during & after!! :)

She got a few things she wanted from the Justice catalog: sparkly shoes & text messengers! (Also some other clothes & stuff!!) :)


My mom & I made aprons for all the girls - didn't want them to get dirty with all the decorating we were doing! :) Madelyn's cake wasn't exactly the "prettiest" cake I've made, but it went with the theme!! :)
